Always a good place to go. Very neighborhoody if thats a word. I like all the TVs and the sports bloopers they show. Great place for Blackhawk games and you must try the cheese sticks!

Great place, kind of small. They desperately need to update the design of their menu because it is a disaster. A place for elk grove regulars

A great place to watch a Packers game, they always have about half of the screens with the Pack game on. As a Pack fan I always feel welcomed, which I don't get at allot of Chicagoland bars. Good wings, burgers and Italian beefs. The fried cheese curds are awesome!

Had dinner last night while watching Bulls game. Great prices good food. Had chicken Parmesan with pasta very good. Was very busy but still had good service.

LOVE! Perfect place to watch the Hawks games. All different types of food. Pizookie is the BEST dessert ever!

So I went there yesterday. I had this bad craving for bar food and beer :D The place was pretty busy, which was a good indicator (well at first it was haha). There were two people waiting to be seated before us and right after we got inside , a few others walked in. Sadly, the hostess let everyone sit before us. We had to wait 10 minutes because there were no tables open. I told her sweetly that we got here first and she apoligized for not noticing... Apparently us being in front of everyone didn't matter. The waitress seemed better at first. We ordered beer (which BTW they had pretty decent drink specials), and waffle fries with bacon and cheese and italian beef sandwiches. The waitress looked straight in my face and asked if I want fries with it. I started laughing and said... I think I will stick with the waffle fries... enough starch for one night. She didn't get it and proceed to ask my friend if she wanted fries with the sandwich. Whatever. As soon as we got our food, we realized we didn't receive any silverware or napkins. I was really tempted just to eat with my hands and make a mess..but then i stopped myself and took some silverware from the table next to us. So when our beer glasses were half full, or half empty (whichever you prefer), she stopped by asking if we need more drinks. We said we werent ready yet. She just walked away. BUT when we were done with our drinks, she would pass by our booth without asking us for anything. My friend stopped her, asking for another beer and she walked away saying she will be back.... 40 minutes later we asked for check... I am NOT going to wait an hr for another beer! She came by with our check, we decided to split in in the middle by using two cards (i am not sure if that was just too complicated for her...). She gave us our receipts back and I started laughing... Isnt half off of $18...$9??? Well she charged both of us $13... I am not a math wiz but I can do simple math... I take that back... I am a math wiz but THIS is simple math... anyone should know it! This place could be a good hang out if they hire someone who can count and is attentive (after all that's your job). I liked the homey feeling of that place, they had nice booths, lots of TVs and decorated with anything sport related.

Great little hidden gem in Elk Groove! Although we were greeted to some rather punky kids playing football in the street right in front, it's a good hang-out-and-watch-the-game/dinner-with-the-fam kinda place. Good menu selection and wow! You MUST try the Pizzokie! A 7in half-baked chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream on the top! F-in delicious! Between 4 adults, it was gone in under 5 min!

Went for lunch today. (actually in May, I forgot to press the Post button) Apparently asking for a booth in an uncrowded restaurant is more than the hostess can take, she seated us and walked away say 3 times "they wanted a booth" while shaking her head side to side. I believe there were less than 13 customers in a restaurant that seats 10 times that . Food remains good, it's the service that is spotty.

My husband and I will never go back there. Coach's Corner was hosting a Hawks Roadwatch party. We arrived almost an hour and a half early and found out most tables already had been reserved but obviously the tables were empty, alot of them had not arrived yet. Okay so we will wait for one of the few that weren't. Then we were told they had given away all the wristbands, but there were not that many people there yet and I was told go count if I didn't believe her. I believe ones were put aside for the reservation people though they were not there yet. We left and did not spend our money there. I think the way this was handled says much about the place and ownership.

I've been here at least a half dozen times and it's time to update my review. I notice the one-star reviews and find it odd. Simply stated, I've never had a bad meal or experience at Coach's Corner. The pub burger is very good and the Italian Beef is almost as good as Portillo's but what really tops the chart is their thin crust pizza. If you are a thin crust aficionado, you have to try this but be sure to eat in and get it hot out of the oven. Even leftover slices are pretty darn good if reheated in a toaster oven. I don't understand the haters. As I said, I've never had a bad experience. Coach's Corner has daily food and drink specials that provide good value. I really don't expect much from sports bars in the way of food, but Coach's Corner is a pleasant surprise with very good food, a nice selection of libations and friendly servers.

Been here a handful of times, always leave satisfied. You have to start with at least a couple of cheese sticks. Yesterday, I had the southwest chicken salad and really enjoyed it. My friend had the bleu cheese burger and was disappointed - either the cheese melted or they put a little bleu cheese dressing on it in lieu of the cheese. It was totally absorbed into the burger or the bun; not what she expected, but she asked for onion, and doctored it up so that it was a satisfactory burger. On previous visits, I've had the patty melt and other friends raved about the beef sandwich. Living just a couple of blocks away, it's my go-to spot when whoever I'm with doesn't know what they want; there is a wide selection with specials. It can be noisy, so don't go there if you are expecting a place to have a quiet conversation. I was there during a Hawks game and every time the Hawks scored a goal, the foghorn blared and the entire place erupted into a chorus of Chelsea Dagger. Solid bar food, casual atmosphere, good value. Service can be a little iffy, depending on how crowded it is.

I went here recently for a road watch party for the Blackhawks and had a great time. I had very good service sitting at the bar and it's nice to actually watch a game at a sports bar that actually cares about the game. Prices were pretty good on the food and great drink specials.

I went to coach's with a college buddy. Me and my boyfriend were incredibly impressed with the bartender (Rob) as well as the thin crust pepperoni pizza and italnian beef (on garlic bread of course). We were sad we lived so far from this awesome official blackhawks bar! Little did we know we would end up moving in walking distance from our new found gem! I married my boyfriend and we had pizza and Italian beef *on garlic bread* at our reception.. inspired by coach's. Hands down best food in the area and great staff too. Trivia nights, live music, friendly local crowd. Order a pizza bigger than you originally plan. It's very addicting! Cheese sticks too!

    (5)
  • Review P.

One positive thing is the italian beef....one of the best I've had. Other than that not so good. The grilled cheeses are ehhh and the pasta is nothing special. The atmosphere is my style but the staff isn't that friendly. They aren't rude but they need to put a smile on their face and at least try to be happy to serve the customers that give them paychecks. The cheese sticks they're known for are just ok. However it is a place you can drink and watch games at.

I have been here a million times and have always had a great experience. I've had their wings, sandwiches, pizza, breadsticks, wraps, and a ton of other things and have never been disappointed. This is definitely my go to spot for Blackhawks games and for laid back night with my friends.

  • Penny K.

While I appreciate the laid back atmosphere, allowing children to literally play ball in the restaurant where the ball is bouncing off of patrons & tables is unacceptable. Shame because the food is good.

I've been here a few dozen times..... All the food is great,, the wait staff needs to get rid of a few crabby waitresses..... But the Cheese sticks are great as noted by a TV show .... Chicago's best.... I also love the BBQ wings,, not too spicey,, just tastey.. and of coarse save room for dessert.. The Pizz-okie (pizza cookie) is great,, my son (17) saids it the best,, I have it rated 4th behind.. #1 Derby Pie ( Assembly Pub) then #2 Chocolate Thunder from down under,, then #3 Brownies from Chuck's in Burbank,,, If u are looking for desserts,,, lets talk I love Chocolate and I would love to sample more... thanks...

The commute to Lakeview from the western suburbs is horrific. After sitting in it for the past 3 months, I've come to the conclusion that it is a a mild form of torture. I'm not even exaggerating...you try it. I decided to kill time at Coach's Corner one day when it was snowing. (Of course it has to snow during the hours of 3pm and 5pm. Why can't Mother Nature hold off a few hours?!) BEST decision of my life. Where else can you get cheap mai-tai's, hurricanes AND cherries dipped in Bacardi 151? ALL right here. Their food menu is just amazing. It's all the typical bar stuff, but just tons to choose from. (There's everything from wraps to salads, to ribs to pizza to cookies!) Apparently, they're known for their 'cheesesticks', but they aren't the typical breaded and deep fried mozz sticks. It's cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla and fried. Delish! Their Wednesday night special was 2 sliders + fries for $6 and you could choose from chicken, meatball, cheeseburger, beef or sausage. I got the chicken (lightly breaded + buffalo sauce) and the sausage and it was seriously the best bar food I've ever had. If you want to watch a sports game, THIS is the place to do it at. There are a million tv's, so you could probably catch two games at once. The bartenders have always been extremely friendly, so I'm so thankful to have discovered this great spot!

After waiting about 15 minutes during the lunch hour without anyone acknowledging us upon entering or even when we seated ourselves, my coworkers and I left. To make matters worse, we realized when we walked out of this garbage place, there were two "coaches corner" managers or execs having a meeting with their lap tops right next to us (we just put it together; they talking about restaurant mumbo jumbo and were going over numbers....plus, it said coaches corner on their lap top screen). No one greeted us when we came in nor anyone else that walked in. It says seat yourself. We looked around to see if we could catch a waiter's attentions but couldn't get anyone's attention. So we sat down and waited ...and waited. ...I stood up to look around...still no one. Another pair of customers came in and no one waited on them either. To top it off, the managers let us walk out and didn't even care to assist or stop us. Worst 15 minute first impression of a restaurant I've ever had. I couldn't recommend the food because we didn't get that far yet. I'm sure if service is that bad during lunch...their food and/or service must be bad too.

  • Kirsten T.

First time here, I'll say this it was busy but service was Sloooow, probably the worst service I've had in awhile. The food was average at best, I did only order a hot dog & fries, but the bun was hard and the fries were not good. I am a fry snob & they alone can make me eat somewhere, not these, not.even.close. I won't be in a rush to go back.

I DONT GET ALL THE STARS FOR THIS PLACE. The food is awful. I'm actually afraid to eat there. Had a buffalo chicken salad with the most snarly chicken pieces. Soup, awful. Ugh.

The hubby and I came here for the first time for a Monday night football game with some friends. It was our first time there, and we really enjoyed it!!!!! I was in charge of reserving a table for our group the week before...but of course I forgot, so I called the day of the game to reserve a table for 8, and we were a go!!! Got an awesome table right in the middle of the restaurant too!!! Lots of tv's and plenty of seating. It was pretty crowded in there. It seems like a neighborhood bar, and just about everyone knew eachother! I ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad with the mild sauce on the chicken...very yummy! The hubby ordered the Cheesy Beef...Im not a big beef eater, but even I enjoyed it!! Everyone else in our group enjoyed their food as well! The prices are great in my opinion! You can't beat a $7.49 salad!!! They also have great drink and food specials through out the week. We definately plan on coming here again for some sports games!!!

Have been here multiple times, mostly for Blackhawk games. Outside of the Madhouse on Madison, best place to see a Blackhawk games. They offer a great menu, and their wings are out of this world, I recommend those the most. Great drink specials every day of the week, which you cant find that in a lot of the bars in the area on the weekend. A great find in the suburbs.

Stopped in for a casual dinner with my daughter. I love this place! Very family friendly, a wide variety of food, at reasonable prices! The burgers, beef, fries and slaw are excellent!

  • Joe I.

Nice little sports bar...but not as little as it once was, as they have increased the sitting area, & more than tripled the quantity of upgraded TVs in the place. FYI: 4 star rating based on the fact that I know what is good/great there (see below.) Italian Beef: Awesome! And it always has been (15 years ago I had my first one!) I enjoy the cheesy beef, with sweet (and sometimes hot) peppers...it comes on a Turano roll...perfect for soaking up the delicious drippings. Paired with their fries and slaw at lunch, it will set you up for a very comfortable afternoon nap! Warning...you will need extra napkins. Other things like the Burgers, Cod Platter, & BBQ sandwiches are just fine. I'd stay away from the mozzarella sticks & the pasta dishes...not really the place for those things. As a family of 6, everyone can find something to eat, and if you have boys (we have 3) in the family, the abundance of sporting channels is quite overwhelming...which is kind of nice if you want to keep them occupied while you are eating! So, for what it is, it is, and it does a good job of doing it. 4 star for me, and pass me another napkin.

Really good food when you actually get the food. One of my favorite places to go, but the service has gone down over the last few months. Due to the service I think I will not be going back until I hear things have changed!

  • Nic Z.

NOTE: I haven't been here in at least eight years. Based on the reviews, it looks like this place has gone downhill. I used to go with friends when their parents wanted to watch some sports game. They had these amazing fried cheese rolls -- not mozzarella sticks, but some doughy, rolled up cheese things served with marinara sauce... Whatever they were, they were heavenly. Other than that, it wasn't anything spectacular, and I doubt I would ever go back today if I was in the area.

  • Ray R.

By far the worst food I have ever had in a sports bar.. Buffalo chicken sliders are those pressed chicken pattys that you used to eat in grade school. After sending that back I ordered the boneless jerk wings that tasted like frozen chicken nuggets with curry powder over them. Pizza dough was chewey.. Maybe we caught these guys on a bad day but we are never coming back. Real brewed iced teas would have been nice instead of the fountain iced tea. And lastly, when you have a hunded items on your menu, the quality of your food suffers.

Service here is very friendly and very fast. Food was delicious! I had the blue cheese bacon burger. It was flavorful and cooked medium- just the way I ordered. Fries were nice and hot. Nice place for families to come. Will come back here soon!

not many places to eat in egv. if this is your only choice, go to schaumburg! we were here on a friday nite and yeah ,they were busy. we were asked to have a seat in an uncomfortable waiting area while they seated each party that arrived after us! left and went to village tavern. foods better there anyway! will not be back to cc and we live a few blocks away!

I've been here a bunch of times and always have a blast everytime I go. The service here is awesome. Brian the bartender is super funny, always has great stories and can make a mean drink. He makes a great cosmopolitan, i should know, im a bartender and cosmopolitans are my fav drink! When I don't have the pleasure of sitting at the bar (it's a tad small but good size for the place it's in) i always request Megan as my server. Not only is she super fun but she never gets our picky pizza order wrong and she doesn't even write it down!!! I've tried a lot of the food here and everything I try is always good. It's hard for me to look at bad reviews about food in a bar because the point of most bar food is for it to come out fast and hot. I'd say coaches corner goes above and beyond fast and hot. Their pizza is delicious, the sandwiches are all tasty, those mozzarella sticks are something pretty special and the prices are fabulous. If you're looking for a nice steak tartar maybe try a fine dining French restaurant at $90 a plate. All in all this is a great bar with a neighborhood feel, a supreme staff, tasty tasty food and a lot of entertainment. It's worth a try of you havn't been! And to those who say they were disappointed the first time, ask for Brian or Megan, they'll make sure you're time spent there is well worth it!

Very good business with good Chicago style food and good drink specials. A lot of TVs so it is a good place to have a beer and go watch a game.

Ok the menu is huge and the amount of TVs is even bigger. Its a decent place to eat lunch and watch some sports. The food is good and I have been coming here for about 15 years. I normally just get the the fish or shirmp plate but they good wings too. The staff is pretty good at taking care of you and making sure everything is OK. The service has improved over the years. Its a regular place for lunch for me since its so close to work. I will continue the tradition! LOL

The restaurant is much larger now...which is one of the reasons the other reviews are a tad lower than they should now be. The menu is pretty large and the food is very good. If you like burgers this is a great place to get a very good burger. The atmosphere is great as the new large restaurant now has, I believe, 27 tvs. Don't forget to look at all the memorabilia...there is one Bull's Jersey on the wall that I can guarantee is well worth $20k...I could understand the 3 to 3.5 reviews back when the restaurant was smaller, but the larger diner has alleviated some of the stresses of eating here in the past.

Food was hardly edible, everything was clearly frozen and reheated. Nothing fantastic. If we didn't have a family member in ICU at alexian bros, there's no way we would go here in the first place. We figured we would try it since we've gotten sick of panera and McDonald's. We had "home made mozzarella sticks" which supposedly were rated by Chicago's best ... These were the most edible out of everything that we ordered. It was cheese rolled in tortilla and deep fried. Sammys in the same strip mall has a very similar thing, and they are BETTER there. We also had three sliders, a regular hamburger, a salad and boneless wings. The sliders burger meat smelled and tasted spoiled. the boneless wings were clearly taken out of a box and plastic bag and tossed in the deep fryer and then coated with hot sauce. If you like mediocre, and your starving, they work. The salad was 8 or 9 bucks and had nothing special or unique to it. The hamburger was over cooked and probably frozen as well. we finished our meal with a cookie pizza thing that was raw cookie dough in a deep dish pizza pan. the edges weren't even cooked. however, it was the most edible thing that was put on our table. If you LOVE country music (that seems to be the music genre that plays a song ratio of 1-2) and don't mind getting bubble gut before you leave the table, followed up by explosive diarrhea (seriously- i got sick) ... eat there. Our server was very nice, but definitely didn't seem proud to be serving what he was serving.

I had the BBQ wings and thought they were good, a little too big but nontheless good. I did try my wife's Italian Beef which was very tasty. Good atmosphere and lots of TV's to watch games.

Coach's is now our go-to place when we wants to watch a Hawks game. They're an official Blackhawks bar, so they play the audio for all the games, plus do their own little stadium celebration when the Hawks score. Definitely a fun atmosphere! We have also been really impressed with the food. We have seen our fair share of sports bars, and we have yet to be disappointed with anything we have eaten at Coach's. Yes, it's a sports bar in the suburbs. Yes, it's in a strip mall. HOWEVER, they're doing things right at Coach's. You can tell it's owned by people who really care about their business and their customers.

  • Steve F.

Used to like it there but recently they don't seem very welcoming. The family seems to walk around and look at you with dissatisfaction. The pizza and cheese sticks are good but the service and the atmosphere seem geared more towards the Chicago Blackhawks and hockey seems to dominate. I can't say it was a very enjoyable experience. Kinda dicks.

Attended the Brunson Autism Speaks fundraiser and really enjoyed the evening. My first time, so I had to try the cheese sticks and their Italian beef. They have a one of a kind product here. Not your standard stuff here. The beef plain had a great kick to it and the pepperoni cheese sticks where my favorite. The thin crust pizza looked great too. Nice bonus was the trivia night. Not often you learn so much trivia at a bar you can trust is true. Of course Ted was in his usually entertaining form and made for a great guest bartender. My only gripe is no fresh brewed tea. I'm not a drinker and the stuff that comes out of the gun isn't my favorite. Very nice location and can tell the employees think a lot of their boss, Joe. Great family operated business and they obviously give back to the community in numerous ways.

Great sports bar in a strip mall. In Elk Grove Village, so it is a place to stop by when I am in the area. Food is your average bar fare but some of the items are real knockouts- including the pizza, cheese sticks, Italian Beef and my favorite, their jumbo chicken wings. The sauces are non too imaginative but the chicken itself is cooked just right, crunchy skin but still juicy inside. I had the spicy barbecue and it was just the right amount of spice. I wish there was a bigger beer menu and also I wish the food menu was not so busy but there are not too many sports bars that can deliver it all anymore and they come close.

I wld say no for the money. One had chili with garlic and while the cook was preparing other food in the group. Bowl became cool and delivered cold. Another time my husband ordered pizza with ingredients. Cook adds onions. Waitress was fine. She wrote what my husband wanted. Next time cold chili again and an hrs wait for a mini size pizza!! All in a row!! After 15 yrs? The management needs to be in the kitchen. And this is no stars!

Coaches Corner: Home to clutter sports memorabilia and okay times. Every so often, a group of us from work occupy a corner booth for a happy hour. It gets louder when games are on, as expected, but it's just the right noise level to chat and even play some party games in back. The service and food are alright - sometimes very slow though. One time they even forgot my order which would explain the extraordinary lag time. As for the food itself, it is fair to middling. To be honest, just skip the meals. Come with friends, watch a game, nosh on an appetizer, and get their drink specials.

We've been in Elk Grove for 15 years. We've always gone to coaches and we did have a season/summer/period where it wasn't great but the management gave us hope that it was just a blip. We've been back 8 times in two months and the service has been stellar, food has been great. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. The owner remembered us, greeted us and made us feel welcome. We had a complaint and she remembered it and reassured us that she/they listened and modified. You can't ask for more than that and it's our new go-to place. This just shows that Yelp can be good and bad. You can vent here but you need to suck it up sometimes and correct it when things go so well.

I've eaten here twice, and give it 3.5 stars, since it's whole numbers only for ratings. The portions are generous and decently priced, the sports and music memorabilia are scattered all over, and the old framed magazine covers are a nice touch, they do bring back a lot of memories when I was a kid.

I have passed by this place so many times, and finally I decided to come here with my friend to get a drink and some food. The first thing I noticed was it was not very busy at all for a Saturday night, and a Cubs game on. Odd? We chose a table and a server came after a little while of sitting. They don't have a spectacular beer menu, but something for everyone. The minute I looked at the menu I was overwhelmed. It is so hard to read with all different colors and crap everywhere...why can't we just keep it simple? It looked outdated. Our server changed, and we ordered the Hawaiian pizza and the cheese curds. The food is your regular bar food, nothing over the top or new. The pizza was actually really good. But the service became more and more shotty as the servers started to care more about watching the game than doing their job. We never got a water (or any other drink) refill. At the end of the night it was good pizza, but kind of expensive for the service we got. I don't think I'll be rushing back.

I've been to Coach's Corner a few times now and the experience doesn't change. You come in and they look completely disgusted that you want to be here. They ask you how many are in your party and tell you where you can sit. Once you are seated they present with a menu that resembles a comic book. There is so much going on with this menu it can be daunting to take in all at once. It is known that the more menu items a place has the lesser the quality of the overall dining experience. You can't say this more for Coach's. They have sandwiches, pasta, soups and salad, burgers, chicken, pizza. You name it they have it. I've had everything from the Italian beef, to the chicken, to the wraps. Nothing is impressive. Perhaps this is a place where the level of your satisfaction of the food and service increases as your sobriety decreases. Unfortunately I only come here for lunch during work hours so I wouldn't know if that is true or not. During and after your meal the workers here, who are the same every time, will service you with disinterest. They can be smug which is an attitude I never understood when you are in the service business. The atmosphere, besides the moody waitstaff, is like any typical neighborhood bar. They have plenty of televisions with all kinds of sports programming on. The only reason you should come here is if you want a less than average experience.

After living out in the Burbs now for over a year I've come to realize that this establishment Does Not Stay Open to their True Hours of Operation. Was told by an employee when I called: "That it costs a lot of money to keep the kitchen open so we shut down early if we are not busy." The closing of their kitchen Early has Happened to me several times over the past year. After hearing their reasoning I have decided to Dine elsewhere.

This was my first visit, and I'm afraid my last. Coach's Corner is your typical sports bar, located in Elk Grove Village. Convenient to my office, I went with a group of co-workers and thought this could be a regular on the lunch circuit. But, that was not meant to be. First, I have to say the server was very nice. She was pleasant, cheerful, clearly liked her job, and attentive to our needs. Service was fast. They are "famous" for their Italian Beef, so I gave it a try. They price things separately, so I knew when I ordered I was ordering the sandwich, and the fries and cole slaw were extra. I also ordered an Iced Tea with lemon. First things first, the Iced Tea was served in a tall glass with two fresh lemon slices. I'm not sure how they make their iced tea, but it tasted like it was powdere and not fresh. Strike one. The food was served on a tray with a large plate. The Italian Beef looked good. The fries were a little skimpy - there didn't seem to be as many as would have been served elsewhere. In fairness to Coach's Corner, they were very good. The Italian Beef had a good taste, but it was dry and there was not as much meat as there should have been. Where I lost is was when we got the check. As noted earlier, I knew we were paying extra for the fries, but I did not know we were charged separately for hot peppers (giardiniera), which is typically served along with Italian Beef. The Iced Tea (price not shown on the menu) and sodas others ordered were also pretty expensive relative to other local restaurants.

Another over priced disappointing meal from da Coach. Went to watch the Hawks play and have dinner with my wife. To start with, It's a Half empty restaurant and they sit us in the highest traffic spot in the place. Busboys, waitresses and patrons bumping in the back of my chair the entire experience. This was the start of worse things to come. The waitress was not around to deliver our food, so some busboy did.... The food was over cooked across the board including the $10. Order of chicken wings that were completely burnt black on one side. (which were all turned down of course). Our Waitress ran by asking how everything was prior to flipping over the chicken wings. The next time I saw her I let her know about the burnt wings and she said there's nothing she could do now... I should have let her know sooner. I left the food, tipped the waitress and learned a lesson. Coaches corner is a generic sports bar, with no heart or soul.... just terrible food and overpriced drinks. I will drive the extra mile to Pops on Nerge or wait until Pope's Pizza Opens back up on Devon. Coach's Corner is "DA WORST!"

Above average, but pretty typical, spots bar. Lots of great daily specials and TV's on every wall so everyone can see. HUGE menu with options for everyone. Had the boneless chicken wings and fries, about $7 and pretty good. Minor downfall, management and staff are not in tune with the sports programming. Came in specifically for a Bulls game at Noon on a Sunday. Game had tipped off, and they didn't have the Bulls on a single TV. Instead they had ESPNU, NHL Network, ESPN Classic, etc with nothing relevant on. However, they were very accommodating, and even turned on the audio, when asked. We'll definitely be back, and you should try it out if you haven't already!

I am a huge fan of this place. The chicken wings are meaty, and the sauces are delicious. I would eat here over BWW any day of the week if it was closer to my home. Also try the mozzarella sticks, they are fantastice. It also helps that they have great beer prices.

I love how everyone in Elk Grove swears by this place. Is that because it's the only sit-down restaurant that serves Chicago-style food? Maybe because it's the only "kid-friendly" bar (wow, now there's an oxymoron) where the closet alcoholics in town can get a beer and halfway-decent food in "downtown" Elk Grove while their kids are preoccupied with TV or video games (why'd you ever leave the house?). Where to begin? For one, smoking was allowed here before the state ban. Problem is, post-ban, it still REEKS. Could someone change the ceiling tiles out and CLEAN the place so it's not so disgusting? Cleaning is, apparently, not a great priority for this restaurant. After all, how could I forget the cockroach struggling to escape from my glass of root beer? They sure do love this restaurant! If that statement doesn't have you running for the bathroom--or the exit--wait'll you try the food! Bust out the Imodium and Tums! The Italian beef sandwich is way too spicy and messy. The pizzas take a while to cook and aren't worth the wait. Everything else is just your classic greasy, overpriced, over-seasoned bar food. Unless I'm watching a game with friends or enjoying the drink specials, I wouldn't waste my time or money here. The service is only so-so, it just depends on your waiter/waitress. Maybe 'da Coach' should spend some time training the wait staff. But, again, being a bar...maybe you should expect a few to be downright rude to you? I imagine that with their new location, Big Sammy's must be making a killing. You want a taste of some real food? Chuck your vomit bag and walk a few doors down. Big Sammy's has the real Chicago-style goods.

I love this place!! I've been eating their food since the 90's when they were Frankies 2. They have, by far, the BEST BEEF ON THE PLANET! The mozzarella sticks are amazing! I honestly like everything that I have eaten there. The place is awesome inside. Sports lovers will really enjoy this place but at the same time a nice place to take the family. I can't stress the high quality of their food!

Great little family friendly pub with very good food and cordial staff. Downside: Be prepared to eat out of a plastic tray if you order a sandwich - but food won't disappoint. Cheese sticks are the BEST.

I really like this place, they pretty much have the best bar food around. The service is really good, they have really good drink specials, it's really kid friendly and watching the Blackhawks there is always a good time.

I like you Coach's Corner. You are the ultimate Elk Grove townie bar. TVs are viewable from pretty much everywhere, the pizza's always good and the meatball sandwich makes me happy every time. Here's my main problem with the kitchen. The wings are terrible. They're overly breaded and the sauces are weak. It's like Keith Bogans to Derrick Rose. Okay, maybe they aren't the worst wings but I reeeeeeeeeally like the rest of the food. Tweak the starting line-up a little and I think we're on our way to an easy win.

My friends and I decided to try this place after one saw on television. Was concerned, as it seemed very small. This particular night was Blackhawks playoffs and yet we got a good table. Two men/two women in our group. Our server was very polite, friendly and just fantastic. We started with a couple appetizers (cheese sticks and soft pretzels). Cheese sticks o.k., but not really what we expected. Pretzels we're soggy, but in a good way - and they were really good. Good selection of alcoholic beverages. We had fish, burger, and beef. The food was excellent! Definitely not what we expected from "bar" food. We also tried the mini desserts and they were very good. I wouldn't go out of my way to get there, but if someone wants to meet there again, I'd certainly be pleased.

Sorry, but this was terrible...there were six of us and we shared everything. The wings were fatty and clearly frozen. The burger was charred and well done, even though I asked for medium. The salads were expensive and just terrible. The lettuce was still wet, everything seemed either frozen or canned, and the dressings had strange tastes to them. We had a few sliders as an app and they were horrible. They were overcooked and tasteless. We also had their "famous cheesesticks." It would have been nice to know that they were not what you would expect. They were cheese rolled in tortillas and fried. I read menus closely and somehow missed this. We were terribly displeased with the food and pricing for frozen reheated bar food. The service was quite weak. Our server didn't know much, and kept responding, "I've never tried that." It is just a bar, not a place to eat, in my opinion. I am not a food snob if the price is right, but at those prices, they don't deserve to stay open. The worst part of the entire experience was that every other song was a country song, and there was no juke box that I could find. I was in hell. I won't be back.

I love this place its a great neighborhood pizza place .... They have a wide menu of you typical bar food site down dinning and let me say this place gets packed for lunch and dinners, expect to wait in the summer for a place to sit when basketball, baseball, soccer, football or any sport is going on. They usaully have super bowl partys were limited tickets are sold which is going on now .... and unlimited BEER and finger food are given throughout the game and plenty of raffels also going on for the event. Prices are reasonable and one signature item I always get here is the "PIZZOOKIE" Yep thats right a little 6 inch pizza pan with a 1/2 backed chocolate chip cookie doe topped with 3 scoops of vinalla ice cream melting away on the hot cookie "MMMMMM" its sooo good I promise you!!! I love the southwest pizza here too. Chicken, bacon, onion, with bbq sauce instead of tomato sauce .MY FAVORITE!!!!!! The bar tenders are pretty cool here to Mike usaully will take care of you after a couple rounds. Plasma T Vs are in every corner with games or sports bloopers running which the kids like to watch and in the front they have a few video games to hold the kids over while you can still take in a nice night out in a "bar / restraunt" atmosphere.

This place was more of a 3.5 but I left it at 3 because although the place is reasonably priced, I don't see any reason to go back unless another Blackhawks Roadwatch was there. Lots of TVs there though (I think there were 12? TVs placed around the bar/restaurant) so if you're in the area & need to catch a game, you should check it out. It's located in the west end of the Elk Grove Crossing strip mall near Panera, so there's plenty of parking. Food: good bar food but not amazing. Liked the mozzarella stick appetizer - instead of breading it, they wrap the cheese in a tortilla & fry it. Kind of like a tamale - it was pretty good. I got the cheesy beef, which they say "is the best beef in Chicago". It was alright, but not really spectacular. It reminded me of Portillos, and I've had better. Tasty but juuust a little bland. My friend got the chicken wings (hot) which were nice & hot but too breaded. The championship fries (waffle fries with melted nacho cheese + bacon) were delicious though. I definitely recommend them. The pizzookie (pizza cookie+ice cream) hit the spot for my sweet tooth craving especially because it comes warm & delicious. Lots of different specials for every night of the week; my friend got a $3 mini-pitcher of Miller Lite which was about 2.5 glasses. Atmosphere: Since I was there for the Blackhawks Roadwatch the place was filled with Blackhawks fans. The Hawks beat the Predators 4-1 so there was a lot of screaming & singing "Chelsea Dagger" that night - so I can't say what it would be like otherwise. While I was there it was loud, noisy and filled with hockey talk, like a mini-UC, which is supposed to be the point (we were even clapping & yelling when they played the anthem). As a Hawks fan, I definitely had fun, although there was one table that wanted to watch the BC/USC game and kept trying to get the server to change one of the TVs. Whenever they got a server to succeed, a bunch of other tables would complain, it'd be switched back & you'd see the server get scolded by management. Sorry College Bowl-watchers, but since the bar was the "Official Chicago Blackhawks Bar" for the night, you probably should've just gone somewhere else. The place is a decent sized restaurant-bar. Booths along the front wall (about 4 or so), a little more than 15 free-floating tables, and then a kind of smallish bar that seats maybe 15 people. If there's an event, I'd call ahead and see if you can make a reservation although my friend & I lucked out and got half of a booth because we said we'd share with strangers. (Note: if said stranger sits down with his 2 kids and proceeds to tell you he is a professional wrestler despite looking like a shorter, portly Stanley Tucci, it's best to smile politely and then act distracted the rest of the time. Even if his kids are adorable little hockey fans.) Service: the hostess was incredibly polite and helpful, although you could see she was a bit overwhelmed with the sheer number of people that had shown up. The place turned into a standing-room-only place because all the hawks fans, but she did a good job. The server was friendly but obviously distracted, and didn't really clear the plates or notice refills unless specifically asked. I'm going to give her a pass this time, given how busy the place was. Cost: Wings + Italian Beef + Fries + Mozzarella sticks + Pizzookie + Coke + mini pitcher of Miller Lite + Bud Lite = less than $40. Most entrees were just under $10, and there are plenty of drink specials and daily specials. Overall, if you live in the area, it's a great sports bar/restaurant to go and watch your favorite game at, while having some decent food for not too bad of a cost. Otherwise, the typical sports bar near wherever you live will probably be just as good as this place.

I have finally found a great "neighborhood" bar in the Schaumburg area, (of course it has to be in a strip mall, though). Awesome bar food and a very friendly staff = multiple visits from me. Their chicken wings, although battered (which I do not prefer), are some of the best I have ever eaten. The pizzas are pretty good too. They put sugar, or something else like it, in their sauce which does sweeten it up a bit. This may turn off some pizza aficionados, so be forewarned. The beer list has your typical American crap (Miller, Bud, Coors Light, etc.), but they do have Sam Adams so I'm good. I have been going here to watch Blackhawks games and there's always a good crowd, although that may be the case for all sports bars right about now.

Nothing to great here. Another huge strip mall bar. The food is ok. Your better off at a real sports bar or a real restaurant. just another boring Eld Grove bar. Plenty of TVs though.

Typical neighborhood bar/restaurant. Only 13 bar stools.....and table seating is tight to say the least. Lunch and dinner both are crowded and kids run around as well. Noisy and worse when a Chicago sports team is on the many tv's. Still, the food is above average...the wings are way above avg, some pizzas are unusual, the prices are avg., and there are drink specials.

We had our daughter's birthday party catered by Coach's corner yesterday. While the sub sandwiches were clearly the first to go, the most vociferous praise was for the Sicilian style pizza. Everyone wanted to know, "Where did you get that pizza?!" EVERYONE was impressed with the food. Thanks, Coach! :)

Disclaimer - I've never actually eaten in the restaurant, so I can't rate that - but we ordered pizza for carry out and it was delicious! I'm sure we'll be ordering again soon.

I like this place a lot but not quite 5 star material. Their food is good and affordable (not the best I had) however it is a cute little hometown bar and grill and good place to watch games. It is small an quaint and the staff is friendly. I like it's location and that it is a family-oriented place so the crowd is not unruly or wierd. They do carry-out as well. They have a nice decor of different sports memoribilia. They also have Darts in the back. Good nightly drink specials.

I went here with a group after work. Can't remember what I had now but great variety on the menu. I think I had some kind of quesadillas with buffalo chicken and it was very good. Good variety on the menu and lots of TV's. I have heard of service problems when really crowded but we had no problems. I would definitely go back. And part of strip mall so parking is so easy!
